James 1:23-24
Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror 24and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
Many people read the Bible and use it as a Microscope to examine other peoples lives. When really it should be used as a mirror to examine our own life and see what changes God would like to make is us. When you read the Bible ask yourself,"what is this passage saying to me, and how can it help me to be the person Christ desires for me to be?"
