As you begin this day remember you are not alone. Not if you have a personal relationship with God ,that is. Galatians 2:20 says that God lives in us. He is a friend that will not leave us. He gave His life that we might have life. He will be above you to watch over you, in front of you to guide you, beside you to encourage you, behind you to protect you. But most of all he will be in you to help you be everything He created you to be. There is nothing you will face today that you and God can not handle. Enjoy the song.

Jesus...Closer Than You Think
Sometimes it feels as though Jesus is so far away. The truth is He is closer to you than your next breath. When I have those moments that I need to know that Christ is there I simply recite the 23rd Psalm. I did it when I had my heart attack in 2007 and was in the emergency room. It calmed me down knowing that Christ was right there with me and He would walk me through the next few hours of a heart cath and then waking up in the ICU. It was also comforting to know that if I did not physically survive that heart cath that Christ would still walk with me right into the presence of God and my eternal home in heaven. It is well worth your time to memorize that Psalm... I Promise. Enjoy todays song and the fact that Christ will walk with you through this day. He is closer than you think

How Will You Spend It?
"Life is not measured by how many breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
I don't know who said it but I do believe it is true. Is this day like any other or will it be special? You decide. The Bible tells us that our life is like vapor, here for such a short time and then ...gone. What will we do with this day God has given to us? We have the opportunity today to make a memory that we will carry forever. Or just breathe in and out and in 86,400 seconds another day will be gone and forgotten. Pick up the phone, call someone and tell them you love them. Bow your head and take a moment to thank God for this day. You may not be happy about the circumstances but those change like the weather. Do something different today that separates it from all the others. It may take a few moments to think of something different because we find ourselves caught in a rut but, we do not have to stay there. Call a good friend and take them to dinner. Surprise the children by leaving work early and going to a movie on a week day (It is less crowded) Send a card just to tell someone how much you miss them. It will make your day and theirs when they receive it. Complement a stranger, they will never forget it. Listen to this song and ask God what do you want me to do with this precious day?.................... How will you spend it?

I Saw God Today
Please read Luke 24:13-35
This is the story of the two Disciples on the road to Emmaus. Jesus had been crucified and they were going home. They were confused by all that had happened in Jerusalem and did not expect to see the resurrected Christ on their journey. As they talk with him finally they realize who He is and they run back to Jerusalem to share the Good News. Each day as each one of us goes about our business God is busy all around us. Many times He wants to include us in His work but, we are so focused on us that we do not hear Him or see Him. This song today says that we can see God in so many ways if we are just looking. Enjoy the song and then ask God to open the eyes of your heart today that you might see God and better yet be used by God to minister to someone who is in need.

God Is My Pilot
Luke 22:42 "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done."
There used to be a saying that "God is my co-pilot", and even though it was well intentioned it was bad Theology and Philosophy of life. Many people want to make God their co-pilot but it is all about God's Will and not ours. We get in trouble when we take control. We should yield our lives to God because He has a plan for us and will not steer us in the wrong direction. In your prayer time today ask God to take control and pray as Christ did "Your Will Father not Mine be Done" You will find the day will go much better. It is conscious decision we must make daily. Enjoy the song.

Touch Someones Life Today
Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."
Each day we hurry here and there and barely see the people we pass. But if we could stop and see them as Christ sees them we would see some hurting people. If we could look inside their hearts we could see hurts and scars, disappointment. Even though they look like they know where they are going they are really lost. If we pray as we start this day God may put someone like this in our path that we can minister to. This song talks about such a person and how they encountered Christ and it changed his life forever. I doubt that you have ever heard of the singer or heard the song but take a few minutes and listen to the story and if we are lucky it may become our story today IF we are very very fortunate.

I'm On My Way
Philippians 3:
20For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
21who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.
21who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.
We are all on a Journey but we are not there yet. Paul said our citizenship is in heaven. We received that citizenship when we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9) Sometimes I think what it will be like to get to heaven and see so many family members and friends and to be in the pressense of Christ. This song today captures that feeling in the words and pictures. I hope you enjoy it and will share it with others.

The Narrow Way
Matthew 7:
13"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
14"For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
14"For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Jesus warns us that there are two roads in life and we can choose which road we will travel. God does not make that choice for you and this passage makes that very clear. People are searching for the way to Heaven and in Christ they find it. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the Way......It is not enough for you to find that road for yourself. We must tell others so they may also find Eternal Life in Christ. Otherwise they may find themselves on a track they do not want to be on. Enjoy the song. One video is worth a thousand words.

Our Awesome God
Genesis 17:1 Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him,"I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless.
Sometimes we just need to concentrate on God and how awesome He really is. Simply listen to this heartfelt prayer today of this Minister and feel God's anointing.

Mr Wrigley Was Right
James 4:14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
Someone has said "Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, Today is the only day we have." It seems as though life moves very fast. You turn around and your children are grown and having their own children. As someone said to me recently, "there is more sand in the bottom of your hour glass than in the top." That is not meant to depress you but remind you that the Bible is right when it says life is like a vapor, appears for a little while and then vanishes. But, each day is a gift, a precious gift, given to us by God. This day is full of potential and will end up being just about what we decide to make out of it. This Video today is one of my favorite songs and has a GREAT message. I hope you enjoy it and I hope it reminds you how quickly time can fly and how important each moment is.
Have a great day and help someone else to do the same.

I Still Believe
John 14:1
"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
Each day we meet people who are troubled. So many things happen that challenge our faith. We lose a job, a home, a good friend. Sickness invades our family, turmoil, relationship problems and Satan is all too happy to whisper in our ear ..."see, God does not care about you", but in our hearts we know it is a lie. Jesus reminded His disciples before He left them to not let their hearts be troubled. No matter what happens God is always faithful and He will see you through the storm, and when He does your faith and will be strengthened. Listen to this great song and reaffirm your faith in a God that would love you enough to die for you.
I am praying for you

Walk By Faith
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight--
There are many times in life we have to step out on faith. Maybe you are thinking about a decision that needs to be made and you are praying about it. You may feel that God is leading you to take a certain path but it does not make sense. Sometimes that is just the way it works. It did not make sense for Simon Peter to step out of the boat and try to walk on water but if he had not he never would have had that experience. Now this part is very important, it is OK to step out on faith but it is a bad idea to step out on foolishness. Before Simon Peter stepped out of that boat he heard Jesus tell him to come. What is God telling you? Enjoy this great song today by Jeremy Camp.

Mark 12:30
AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.'
AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.'
I often hear athletes talk about giving 110%. Actually that is impossible but we all know that it means I will give everything I have on the field of competition. Many in business do the same thing. They give all they have to the company. They Give extra hours, days, nights, weekends, often missing time with family and neglecting Church. In this passage today we see that we are to Love God with all our heart and yet many people serve God Half-Hearted. They attend Church if there is not anything else to do, give if they have a little extra after purchasing all the toys for children and adults. It becomes harder and harder to get people to volunteer and serve in ministry. Now I know that these are all outward signs but they reflect an inward devotion. As you listen to this song today, Just Worship, express to God your Love for Him, Tell Him how much you appreciate the blessings of life. Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and Tell Him. He waits patiently.

Light Your World
Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world.
We are called on as Christians to bring light to the world. There is so much darkness but we can make a difference. Think of ways today that you can bring the light of Christ to a dark world. Offer to pray with or for a friend, co-worker or complete stranger. Do something kind for someone in an anonymous way. Say an encouraging word to someone going through a dark time. Visit someone in the hospital or a nursing home. You will brighten their day. Share a favorite verse with someone who needs it. Hug someone. Tell them about this daily devotion so they can find a little light each day to guide their steps. Write to me and let me know what you did so I can be encouraged and that I might share it with others to encourage them.

Come to Jesus
Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest.
As we hear and watch the news lately it is almost overwhelming. People are hurting. They are losing their jobs, and homes and in many cases hope. I am not trying to diminish the seriousness of what is going on but there have always been difficult times. Ask the Jews who survived the Holocaust or grandparents who lived through the great depression, or the millions around the world who go to bed hungry each night. Mothers burying their children because there was nothing to eat. Disease killing countless people because there is no medicine. There have always been tough times and in the midst of those times there has always been a voice calling out and saying "Come to me those of you who are overwhelmed and those who do not know where to turn, and I will give you rest." The answer today is the same as it has been for thousands of years. Come to Jesus. When we come to Jesus we find the rest we need and the love to help others who are hurting. No matter what life holds everyone comes to the same fate. Rich or poor, influential or unknown. Red and yellow black and white they are precious in His sight. Jesus promises us an eternal home and hope in heaven. Share that news with someone today. Come to Jesus and rest. Listen to this beautiful song by Chris Rice and sense the Love of Jesus who knows something about difficult circumstances.
I welcome your comments. Click on my e-mail link and let me know if you are reading these devotions and if you have any suggestions or prayer requests. Thanks

Daylight Savings
What will you do with your extra hour of daylight? The longer evenings may allow time for family togetherness, fitness walks or other outdoor activities. Getting outside to enjoy the beauty of nature can bring respite and restoration to body and soul. Nature is a glorious exhibition of God’s power and his personality. What does God like? Look around you at the grass and trees and blooming flowers. He obviously loves beauty as he created a beautiful world for us to care for and enjoy. As we see spring arrive this year, I hope we will see God’s hand in it all and thank him for his loving kindnesses to us.
“For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.” (Song of Solomon 2:11-13, KJV)
Use Your time wisely and remember God loves you FOREVER.

Unfailing Love
John 3:16 For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him might not perish but have everlasting life.
In the United States one out of every two marriages ends in divorce. I don't think anyone enters into marriage thinking that will happen to them. But things happen. Promises are broken, people change and over time they just drift apart. I have heard people say as they are splitting up " I love you I am just not in love with you." No one is perfect and it is almost never just one persons fault. We can be glad that God has an unfailing Love for us. It is Unconditional Love. Even when we make mistakes God loves us. Even we we are not faithful to Him He is faithful to us. He Loves the unlovable, forgives the unforgivable, touches the untouchables of society. God's Love will never fail. We must ask God to help us Love and Live like that. Enjoy the music, enjoy the day and no matter how it goes just remember there is one who will always love you....Always.

God of All Creation
In the beginning God created. The Hebrew word for created is "bara" This word is only used in reference to God. It means "called into existence that which did not exist." You will find the word in Genesis 1:1,20,27; 2:3. As we look at the creation of God it is awesome and almost overwhelming. As you view this video and listen to this great song by Third Day think about the wonder of God's creation.

Come and See
I hear many people today asking others to come and see in relation to Church. Come and see our building, come and see our Choir, our Praise Band, our Pastor, our Children's program, Christmas Play, Easter Cantata. I wonder if anyone asks people to come and see Christ? In this video today listen and watch and remember that we are asking people to come and see the Savior. Experience His Love and Forgiveness. Yes today it's all about Come and See but, remember Jesus told us to Go and Tell. Enjoy the Video and turn up the speakers.

Still Waters
The psalmist David penned the Twenty-third Psalm, possibly the most widely recognized passage in the Bible. You know how it goes: “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul…” (Psalm 23:1-3a). There is something about being still that allows God to speak to us. Our lives can be like the restless waves of the ocean, leaving us little time to reflect on God or to hear his still, small voice. We sometimes need to find a quiet place--still waters--to regain perspective and focus. It is only in still waters that we can see our own reflection. Take a good look. Are we reflecting Christ to others? If his image is not shining through us, we need to draw closer to him. His sweet presence will restore our soul.

Where is God?
Most of us have pondered the question, “Why does God let bad things happen to good people?” God is not to blame, but SIN is the reason bad things happen to good people. All of the problems in the world can be summed up with that three-letter word. The economic turmoil is due to greed. Murders are a result of anger and jealousy. I recently watched a movie, Love Comes Softly, that I thought had a beautiful explanation to this question. The father uses his relationship with his daughter to explain God’s relationship with us.
"Why does God let unthinkable things happen to decent people?"
"Why does God let unthinkable things happen to decent people?"
Clark answered, "Missy could fall down and hurt herself, even if I am walking right there beside her. That doesn't mean that I allowed it to happen. But she knows with a father's unconditional love, I'll pick her up and I'll carry her, I'll try to heal her, I'll cry when she cries and I'll rejoice when she is well. In all the moments of my life God has been right there beside me. The Truth of God's love is not that he allows bad things to happen. It is his promise that he'll be there with us when they do."
You can watch this part of the movie on YouTube. It is within the first 3 ½ minutes of the clip.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seV9y-WSLf8&feature=PlayList&p=AF63DC063C09B16C&index=7
